The stage is set, and the curtain will open for two students to step onto a college campus and pursue their dreams. Your support will send them off with scholarship awards given proudly in remembrance of Jason Wilhelm.

What's In A Name?

Every year since our first scholarships were awarded in 2009, the selection of just two individuals from a group of hard-working, thoughtful students has been consistently difficult... but also rewarding as we examine the academic, athletic, and artistic achievements of some of the most promising students of each year's graduating class.
The criteria for consideration of a Scholarship Award are:
  • Acceptance at a college or university
  • Participation in four years of extracurricular athletic or music programs in high school
  • Completion of an essay in answer to one of three questions on the topic of personal adversity
The Board is presented the additional challenge of selecting each year's recipients from applications teeming with personal success and service to community.  With so many similar outstanding academic and extracurricular achievements, the essay portion allows a glimpse into the heart and soul of each student.
The writing carries most of the weight in a very personal decision for each member of the selection committee, as the authors bravely share recollections of  their triumph over pain, misfortune,  and loss.
After two are chosen from so many, to know the rest also possess the strength to achieve their goals provides solace and inspiration.
We encourage anyone in doubt of the resolve of this generation to attend Camden High School Class Night to see our scholarship awards among the many handed out to hardworking, deserving young adults destined to shape and improve the world around them.
